MAD DOGS NOW READY TO RELAUNCH After a disaterious end start to 2008 2009 with Wayne having to pull out through injury of his voluntary defence in December 2008. Wayne subsequently went onto lose his treasured lonsdale belt in the boards mandatory defence in a career low performance. Wayne was unfortunately hampered with his training and was not able to fully shake off his long term(fractured leg) injury. Wayne has now got the all clear April 09 to resume as normal and is eager to get back in the gym again. Wayne will be chasing a rematch with fellow brummi Matthew Macklin to put the record straight as soon as possible. And with Wayne now getting back to full fitness and focused on getting back in the title frame,he will be looking next time round to do the return fight should Matthew oblige him the justice it deserves, and promises this time round to give the Birmingham public a fight they will remember for all the right reasons. | MAD DOG TO TAKE PART IN THE BIRMINGHAM FUN RUN Wayne's first road run since his injury will see him taking part in the Birmingham fun run this year to help raise funds to support the Macmillian Cancer support. Come along and show your support and lets have a good turn out to help represent the great people of Birmingham The 5km Fun Run starts in Perry Park, then out onto specially closed roads, returning for a complete lap of the Birmingham Alexander Stadium track to finish. Last year 1,800 people took part and raised over £70,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support - join us to make this year even bigger and better. We would like all entrants to try and raise a minimum of £50 through sponsorship or donations. The Fun Run is for the whole community to take part in – everyone can get involved – why not get the family involved or a group of friends, work colleagues or a team from your school or college?
